Name:Ingrid Wilder
Nickname: Birdie
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Year: 2nd
Sexual Orientation: Straight but not interested in a relationship
Relationship Status: Single and....
Religious Beliefs: Doesn't give a shit
Appearance/Wardrobe: She is average hight: 5"6. She has a creamy, mocha skin tone and slight freckle around the bridge of her nose; yet they are so light that you can barely see them at all. She has hair that is to her ears that is lightish brown and she has no bangs. It's pin straight, kinda gross looking and greasy, yet when she actually washes it is shiny and relatively healthy looking. She has dry skin and has a long nose, she looks sort of like a rabbit. She has very dark, almost black eyes that droop and make her look uninterested in life. Her hair also curls at the end.She likes to wear slightly baggy jeans and flip flops and down to her knee's baggy t-shirts. She is very apathetic.
Personality: She is introverted, socially awkward and she has a dry sense of humor. She doesn't open herself very well. She's not judgmental whatsoever.
History: She is half black-half white, and used to have a pet gopher named Troogy. Her dad lives in Transylvania and her mom lives in some rundown, podunk town in Kentucky. Her parents made no time for her and that is why she has trouble opening up. She got abandoned by her parents and had to be a squatter, living under bridges, hopping trains and staying in abandoned houses; which is why she has a germ problem. That's how she found herself at FOA. She has been here 2 years.
Strengths/Talents/Skills: She is an amazing cook, especially potato chips. She can make vintage hats by herself, aaall by herself, and enjoys making these vintage hats a great deal. Odd yes, but she is fantastic. She also likes to crochet to pass the time. She excels in science and math, retaining an A average, yet due to her dyslexia she is near phobic in English and other subjects that require excessive reading.
Weaknesses: She's dyslexic and she is very socially awkward. She is also completely incompetent in PE or anything physically exerting. She often shuts out her classmates (during class especially) by crocheting or simply putting her head down. She does badly in school partially due to her ineptness to interact with others for help.
Other: She has OCD in the form of germs, and has a constant flow of inner monologues. She isn't very interested in music; only listening to it when she drives or is extremely bored. She likes road trips more than anything in the world; the neverending highways give her a sense of comfort of escaping.
RP example:
*I don't know, he was talking really loud. Should I? I still don't know. He was asking me something; I knew that. The other students around me slowly turned so that every pair of wide, curious eyes was trained to my passive face. I pulled my bottom lip between the left side of my teeth and bit down; my fingernails dug into my thumb; my eyes started to hurt. I just couldn't hear anything, I had gone to the lavatory to clean my hands.*
Birdie, who to everyone looking in was nervously gnawing on her already pink, stained lip and frantically picking at her fingertips, looked crazed. The professor had simply asked her to repeat the passage that they had been reading previous to her bathroom leave. But what really puzzled them was how in mid sentence of their teacher, she quickly pulled out a bundle of fizzy string and a frame that had the beginning of an obviously complex and well-cared for design on it. Her shoulders bowed in dramatically and her hair fell into her eye line, the flourescent ceiling highlighting the excess grease that so clearly covering her hair. Some girls unconsciously thought of how uncomfortable her hair must be in that state; the uncomfortable feeling that was left on your fingers when you inconspicuously run them through it, the simply awful annoyance of that small bit of curled split ends that must have tickled her jaw line due to its short length. The professor raised his eyebrow (unknowingly to himself and probably all of the students) in exasperation and his hand that was poised to make helpful gestures to Birdie fell in defeat. She noticed nothing of this. Again.
