Sammie slipped off her shoes and socks like she does every other time at the beach. She walked gingerly through the sand, making her way to the dock. She set her shoes on the wooden platform, sitting beside them as she dunked her bare feet into the soothing water, letting out a content sigh as she lied down on the hard dock. A small, but cheery smile played along her lips as she lay there listening to the soft waves crash.
