The sounds picked up by Ariphias' well toned ears were quickly put aside by his careless mind as he finished off his simple task. He removed yet another of the many accessories that hung from his wrist and slid it about half an inch above the place he'd finished, winding it around in a smooth motion before releasing the locks from his gentle grip. He gave a light sigh, his lips curled into his usual carefree smile as he propped himself up against his arms. The junior blinked, his dark lashes flickered as they lowered over his bright green eyes and then raised to reveal the brilliant gems. He looked around once he'd heard the unfamiliar sound of an unknown voice, mistaking it for something else, although he knew not what it was. Once his striking eyes had found the source Ariphias jumped slightly, a soft squeal that resonated in his vocals turned to a light gasp once it'd found his lips.
"Ah. Um. Hi," he spoke quickly at broken intervals, "um..." he paused, regaining his composure quickly as he stood, "probably, you're better with this, so, um..." he stared from one face to the next, his mind, being completely confused, gave up on finishing, and Ariphias sighed with the breath that would have completed the sentence, his energetic and optimistic smile never leaving his face as he did so. He waved his hand in a quiet greeting, and began to pick his way back to his own bed.

Mal spoke softly, so that only Bradley would hear. "I'm fine, just don't let word of it get out" He said, then smiled. An awkward smile, so much so that it was almost painful for him. Bradley stood up, and introduced himself to the other man sitting there. "Hello, I'm Bradley, you must be Mal's roommate. What's your name?" He asked, lightheartedly.

Ariphias blinked, usually a response came instinctively, but the usual had slipped strait through him, "um...just call me Ari," he said with his pleasant smile, his bright green eyes glistening like gems. He stared forward, one person was just a person, but two became objects, he wasn't sure who he was suppose to be working with. He fiddled with his long, dark locks, working with the knot he had created earlier. His long fingers worked quickly to undo the mass as he thought. "Um..." he smiled lightly, not sure what he was suppose to say or do. The name had passed him, just as all names had, and it was pointless to ask again. "Sorry to disturb, did you need something here?" he asked, wondering if his presence was a bother of any sort. The quiet conversation had made it feel darker, grimmer. Either way, he smiled his soft smile still, his hands fiddling still with his moist hair.

Bradley, as calm as ever, and smiling, quite naturally, his eyes twinkling under the light. "Hello Ari" He said, seeing the unease in the man's face. Well, was it a man? He had to be, there were no Co-ed dorms here. "No, No, just came to see Mal, haven't really gotten a chance to talk with him since he got here, none of us have, i guess. Anyway, it's fine if you want to stay." He said.

Mal Silently nodded, and gave Ria a reassuring smile. One that was truly sincere.
