Lia walked into the room, her black trolley bag following, and stopped, a little surprised.
Two roomies, she thought, and then shrugged her shoulders.
Alright then.
She walked over to the sole empty bed, and plopped down on it.
The room was, not messy, but not tidy either.
One side, with a single bed, had sheets strewn all over the table. Lia walked made her way to the bed, and realized with a gasp, that theyy were the most beautiful pictures she had seen. Horses with their manes flowing wildly, an open lawn; Lia reached out and touched them like they were magic. One sheet of paper had the word 'SCARLET' written in fancy letters.
Looking around more, she realized that apart from the scattered photographs, the rest of her side of the room seemed disoriented as well. Her bed was not made, there were clothes hanging from the stand and her bags were stuffed under the bed in an unruly manner. She decided she liked that.
Lia walked over quickly to the other bed in the room, excited to find out about her other room mate. This side seemed arbitarly opposite to the other. The bed was made freakishly neat with pillows propped up like she had seen on TV (she wasn't a neat freak, but she did enjoy tidiness). The table was spotless, and all the books were piled in one corner, and a cup shaped like a dragon which had stationery, in the other. Lia spied a small pink ribbon creeping out from behind the chair, and immediately recognized it as part of a ballet shoe; she was impressed. Now she would have someone to share her ballet woes and triumphs with. Lia was about to tuck the satin behind the chair, when she heard the door creak open. She whipped around.
