out of the room(open)

Chloe made her way slowly across the quit quad, a large leather bound book tucked under her left arm. She was wearing a long black skirt, a white blouse, and a black vest. It was rare to find Chloe out of her room, she rarely left her room because its so hard to find people deserving of my attention but today she was making an exception. Today she was hoping to enjoy a nice afternoon out in the warm sun.

[River]

Charlie yawned. Then she stretched, and yawned again. She smiled, and rolled over into a sunnier patch of the Quad, leaves and twigs and grass sticking to her baggy grey sweater. Her brilliant purple hair shone in the sun, and her dark eyes were smiling as she gazed up at the clouds. It was slightly chilly out, yet she still maintained her customarily eccentric, barefooted look.

Glancing up Chloe saw a girl laying right in the middle of her path. She wanted to get to a large oak on the other side of the quad so she could sit and read. 'I can ether A go around and look rude for avoiding her or B by polite and hope she does not want to talk' Chloe thought to herself as she walked up to the girl laying in the grass.

[River]

Charlie felt the shadow of a person fall over her and she squinted up, making a visor out of her hand to block out the sun. "Hey there!" she greeted the girl in a friendly, but uncertain tone. The other girl looked awfully...well, girly.

'darn' Chloe silently cursed as she stopped "hello" she said in a pleasant but unenthusiastic tone. she thought to herself the girl as dressed grungy, no class what so ever.

[River]

"I'm Charlie," Charlie introduced herself. "Umm...nice day, isn't it?" She wasn't sure who the girl was, or why she was there, but she was willing to make conversation. It was, after all, a lovely day.

"the weather is. . . pleasant, I am Chloe Diana Lawrence, miss Lawrence will do fine". She was not trying to be rude, she was just blunt and a bit of a narcissist.

[River]

Charlie arched an eyebrow. She had grown up in what could only be described as a hippie surfer town, and she did not do titles. Not with peers, at any rate. She rose to her feet, her willowy figure looking almost fragile in it's slenderness. "Nice to meet you, Chloe," she said with a smile, extending her hand and ignoring the "Miss Lawrence" comment.

Chloe raised her hand slightly hesitated a moment, then reached out and shook Charlie's hand. "pleasure to meet you" she replied in her normal dry tone. She was about to dismiss the girl when a thought accrued to her. Judging from her appearance Charlie seemed like a girl that cared what others thought of her, maybe just maybe she would not judge others.

[River]

Charlie smiled. She liked adaptablility in a person, and the girl hadn't commented on the name choice. "You're welcome to join me if you'd like," she invited, gesturing to the sunny patch of grass she had been lying on.

[nahash]

"thanks, I think I will" She said sitting in a graceful fluid movement. Chloe rested the heavy volume in her lap. "so are you just enjoying the weather" she ask tilting her head to the side as she spoke.

[River]

Charlie grinned and nodded. "Yeah, it's awesome. I love this kind of weather. Not too hot, cool, but the sun is still warm, just a light breeze..." she trailed off, gazing up at the cloudless blue sky.

"It is nice, and I am glad that I can enjoy it a little longer before the weather turns cold"

[River]

Charlie nodded in agreement and continued to gaze up at the sky, a dreamy expression on her face.
