Ella needed to get away she needed a break. She was regretting leaving Draven and coming here for school. Ella sat on the bench and reread the letter her brother had sent her. 'how could he do this he knows i need him and what if he doesn't come back' horrible thoughts ran through her mind causing a pain in her chest. Ella suddenly felt cold and alone the fear of losing another family member cut through her. She laid down on the bench curling her body togther as tightly as she could and let the tears fall thinking no one would see her.

Vires paced back and forth trying to calm himself, he could fight men twice his size and not even flinch but the simple task of asking Ella to the dance was terrifying. He stopped and closed his eyes, “I have to do this and it’s that simple.” He breathed out slowly finding his center before opening his eye to see Ella running to the stables. He saw the look on her face and knew something was wrong, ‘Should I go help, or just give her some space.’ Before he could come to a decision his body acted for him, he began to walk to the stables slowly and quietly he approached.
‘Did someone say something to her, was one of the girls mean to my Ella…,’ Vires paused on that thought, ‘My Ella,’ he liked the sound of that. He shook the thoughts out of his head as he approached, he softened his footsteps. He did not want to startle her, he also wanted to make sure it was ok he was here. He saw her cruelled up on the bench and began to worry, but when he heard the irregular breathing patterns he knew she was crying and could no longer help himself. He walked from out of the shadows behind her and knelt quietly beside her, not saying a word.

Ella wanted to run away but then Vires popped into her head and she stopped she didn't want leave him he made her happy. She knew she needed him there right now to hold her talk to her something she just needed him. Ella felt something change like someone was there she opened her eyes slowly and saw Vires there. "Oh Vires!" she wrapped her arms around him and held him close. Ella knew she needed to tell him what happened but she just wanted him to be there for her to show her she wasn't alone. Draven had left her she couldn't leave Virse as well.

Vires was caught by surprise as she turned to him and embraced him, ‘Wow,’ was the only thought that ran through his head. He simply embraced her back, “now what’s wrong?” he said pulling away from her after a short while. “What happened to make you hide that beautiful smile/” vires had a smile on his face, he was trying to hide his worry and was doing a good job of it.

Ellabit her lip "it's my brother Draven there is a war going and he decided to join im so scared what if he doesn't make it through and i never see him again he is the only family i have left i know i sound selfish but i need him how could he leave me" the pain shot through her again and she rested her head on his shoulder. "Vires you have amazing timing you know that" she closed her eys and let herself melt into him feeling the comfort she gets when he is with her.

Vires listened to her the smile fading away to a calm and placid look. “Your brother will come back, if he is half as amazing as you are, he will do fine,” Vires knew he couldn’t prove that he would be safe, but he desperately wanted Ella to be happy again. Vires held her close and gently ran his hand down the back of her head. “It will be fine Ella trust me, He is going to be just fine,” Vires was completely unprepared for the and new that there was nothing her could say to make it all go away.

Ella looked at him with a half smile "Draven is strong maybe your right oh i don't know maybe this isn't fair" Ella bit her lip hard then she tasted the strong tatse of iron on her tongue she quickly pulled away and touched her fingertips to her her lips the looked at the red liquid gasping. "Im falling apart this is ridiculus ouch" Ella pouted alittle and looked Vires in the eye "what's wrong with me i have dealt with worse why am i so weak i wish i was more like you i really do" she quickly looked down and licked her lips feeling the pain atleast she knew she felt something even if it was pain.

Vires looked at her and laughed at her last statement, “Like me? You don’t want to be like me, I have been trying so hard to work up the courage to ask you to the dance,” Vires chuckled a little as he said this not even realizing what he had just said, “it is only natualr that you should be worried about your brother, but I cant even get up enough courage to ask the girl I like to a dance, come on you don’t want to be like me,”

Ella looked at him a little shocked. 'Did he just ask me to the dance no wait wow' ella was trying to process what had just happened. He was right there was no reason she shouldn't be worried that was natural but she didn't have to shut down Draven would keep contact when he could and he was very strong. "Thank you" she smiled and kissed him lightly "so did you just ask me to the dance?" Ella smirked slightly at him.

Vires went to say thank you but was stopped dead in his tracks by the realization she had brought to his attention. “W…well y…yeah I guess I did, it’s just I have never been to one and I wanted to take someone really cool and I thought you would look really pretty in a dress and…” Vires trailed off into his thoughts unsure of how he had just accomplished this feat. He licked his lips feeling something warm on them and realized it was blood from the familiar metallic taste, he loved that taste.

Ella was still holding her hand to her bleeding lip and and smiled at him "well i would love to go with you." Ellas lip hurt a little and it got swollen a little. She tried to lick the blood off of her lip but i didn't work the red liguid still glistened against her rosy lips. Ella looked at him a little nervously she didn't want him to weirded out by the fact that she had hurt herself even if it was unintentional.

Vires smiled resisting the urge to lick the blood from her lip. Try as he might he could not help himself from kissing her, he leaned in slowly and kissed her softly on the lips, he made sure he was gentle as not to hurt her. He pulled away slowly and looked into her eye. “Let’s get you to your room, you have a dance to attend tomorrow,” Vires smiled as he said this licking the blood from his lips.

Ella frowned at him after he kissed her something was different. Ella smiled she couldn't wait until the dance. "Ok i do need my beauty sleep" Ella winked at him and stood up. she couldn't wait until the dance but she was careful to make sure he didn't see the excitement. Ella liked her arm with his and started walking back to her room. "So what time should i be ready tomorrow?" she looked at him and smirked slightly going through what she could wear and how she would do her hair. Ella felt girly again for the first time in a while.

Vires watched as the smile he so loved returned to Ella’s face, he was happy to see it come back and that he had been the one to put it there. Vires stood with her and began to walk when she did, it was becoming routine for him to take her to her room and he was being to like it. “Well it starts and 8 so around 8:30 ish,” he made sure to speak clearly so she could hear him, after words he finished walking her to her room and said his goodnight.
