Sammie stood near the back of the dinning hall, watching everyone dance and flirt carelessly. A small smile broke on her lips. She then looked down at her feet and smoothed down her shirt, standing there awkwardly.

"Hey there, haven't seen you around before," Zack said with a charming smile, strolling up to the girl. "I'm Zack." His hazel eyes were warm and friendly. He wore a perfectly taylored black suit, and his golden-blonde hair was slicked back, making him look...breathtakingly handsome.

I gave a toothy grin to the boy--Zack. "Hey. Feeling flirty tonight, huh?" I asked playfully, nodding towards a group of giggling girls looking at Zack.

((Sammie, please try to keep your posts in 3rd person. Thank you!))
"God no, they follow me everywhere," he groaned, with just a hint of a British accent. He ran his fingers through his hair and smiled at her. "So I didn't catch your name. Are you here alone?"

A soft laugh escaped her lips, wondering why he wouldn't find all that attention flattering. "It's Sammie," she told him. She silently debated in her head weather or not to shake his hand, as it would seem polite to. But she decided not to and just smiled in a cheesy sort of way. "No, I fly solo," she said, adding a chuckle.

Zack reached down and grasped her hand. He bowed, and kissed the back of her hand. "Well it is a pleasure to meet you, Solo Sammie." he said elegantly, a twinkle in his eye.

Sammie blushed a noticeable pink, she couldn't help it--he had that swooning effect that charmed her. "What a gentleman," she commented, a smile still plastered on her face.

He winked at her. "I do try, m'lady. Now, might I have the honor of this dance?"

Sammie froze up, stiff like a statue. She blinked dumbfounded, then finally said, "Um.. I don't dance..." She shrugged sheepishly.

"Sorry," Zack's tone took on a gentle, sheepish tone, his gorgeous hazel eyes going straight to his shoes, the picture of embarrassment. "I-I get a little carried away with pretty girls...I apologize, I didn't mean to make you feel uncomfortable..."

Sammie laughed at the sudden awkwardness left in the conversation. She took his hand in hers. "Shall we?" She asked, just like they did in the movies, except she added her own dorky way to it. She smiled and walked to the dance floor, but that was all she had. She was completely lost at this point, but tried her best to hide it.

Zack smiled bashfully at her. "Just follow my lead and you'll be fine." He grasp her hand in one of his, and put a strong hand on her waist. A slow song started, and he began to dance, slowly at first, his strong hands gently guiding her, step by step.

Sammie nodded slowly as he reassured her. She shivered slightly at the warm feeling of his hand on her back. She smiled helplessly at him, then looked down at their feet, trying her best not to trip over him.

He leaned forward and whispered, "Don't worry about it, just relax." His breath tickled her ear, stirring a few strands of her dark hair. "Do you feel the beat? Feel the beat of the music, let it move through you. One, two, three, four, one, two, three, four." He looked down at her, a soft smile on his face as he guided her through the movements.

She relaxed her strained muscles as he told her to. "One, two, three, four," she whispered to herself softly in time with him. Sammie felt his eyes on her, and when she looked up, she was staring straight into them. "--Two, three, four..." her voice trailed off.
