Charlie poked around the kitchen, taking stock, brainstorming. She pulled out a couple of things, put them in a saucepan, and set in on the stove. She put penne pasta into a separate pot, filled it with water, and lugged the heavy thing over to the stove. Panting, she set it down. Her hands were shaking, and there was an uncomfortable pressure in her chest. She pulled a small pill bottle out of her pocket. She shook out one of the pills, tossed it back dry, and stuck the bottle back in her pocket very matter-of-factly, turning to stir the mystery ingredients in the saucepan.

"Enh, many years of practice," Charlie told him, thinking of the years she had spent cooking for her dad. She was surprised he didn't ask about the pill, most people did. She didn't mind the questions, either, she was totally used to them.

"I will be eager for your critique," Charlie said, taking the saucepan off the stove. She mixed in a pinch of something, and a dash of something else, and tasted. She added a tiny pinch of something, and tasted again. Spicy, but creamy. She grinned. "Hope you like spicy food. It's not very spicy, but a little." She drained and rinsed the pasta, and put a pile of it on a plate. She stood so that Jay couldn't see it as she poured the sauce over the pasta. She took a sprig of rosemary and set it on top as a garnish. She cut a lemon, and sprinkled just a tiny bit of the juice over it, before whirling around and setting it before him with a flourish. "Bon appetit."

Honey looked from the food to Charlie, back to the food then Charlie again." You didn't poison it did you?" He asked skeptically. Before picking up a fork stabbing the pasta with it before bringing it up to his mouth chewing and one of his eyebrows raised. Honey swallowed and nodded." Its very good..Actually better than i had thought it would be.. And i love spicy food."

Charlie smiled. "I'm glad! If you like that you should see my seafood." She coughed again, and moved toward the stove to clean up.

Honey nodded quietly finishing the food he had in his mouth." Do you have a weak heart? Or.....Somethin'? What's wrong?" He asked her taking another bite.

"Neh, don't feel sorry for me. Please. I'll need a transplant eventually, but then I'll get better, yeah." She shrugged, acting like she was telling him about the weather. Like it didn't matter.
