Daimen walked slowly into the music room, his hand trailing over each object he passed. Today he had Orange and blue highlights or should I say thin streaks in his hair. He always got them redone, always and very often. He was just that random and fun loving, so it made everyone look forward to the next color that is shown off in his black locks. Moving swiftly as he ran his hand over the next object he knew he desired to play, he sat down on the bench infront of it. A black Piano. He sighed out, feeling slightly embarressed to know how to play the 'Instrument' but although his mind told him not to, he began playing a familiar tune." I'm here again..." He mumbled underneath his breath as he continued to play, getting lost in the tune as he always did when he played the piano." A thousand miles away from you." He kept playing on and on, never stopping as he whispered the lyrics to himself. Why would he be playing this song and singing it? It was one of his favorites, and it helped keep his sanity. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Uw8mIcQJn8

Alexa was sitting curled up in a teeny tiny ball behind the baby grande piano in the music room. She felt safe there, tucked between the piano and the wall, where nobody could sneak up on her, even accidentally. She loved the feel of the piano's cool surface on her cheek as she leaned her head against it. Then she heard footsteps, far away, she would be willing to bet they were at the end of the hall, but coming closer. As they grew louder, she recognized them. It was her brother, she was sure of it. She knew his footsteps like no other's. He tended to put slightly more weight on one foot, and scuff the other toe just a little. Currently, however, they were slow, dejected-sounding. He seemed sad. She sat and listened as his footsteps came in the door and meandered across the room toward the piano. Then they stopped, and she heard the bench squeak as he sat down.
She smiled a little as he began to play. It was one of his favorites, and a favorite of her's. She had always loved to hear her brother play, it soothed her like nothing else. Not wanting to startle him, she moved a little, allowing her clothes to russle against the wall.

As he went more into the song, Pieces by Red, Daimen's voice got more louder and he sang along with his music. A smile graced his face, a very small one at that and it had a certain something tugging at his lips, not making it seem entirely happy. He finished off the song with the last chord of the very last measure. Sighing out, he stretched his arms back behind his head as he replayed the song over and over in his head. For some reason he felt a bit off today, and in the back of his mind he knew exactly why he felt like that. But he didn't want to admit it, not at all. Ready to start another song, he heard a small russle in the silent room. Hearing it by the piano, he peeked over curiously, not really startled at all for the sound was so soft and quiet.
Finding his sister there was the last thing he thought would be next to the Piano." Alexa? Is that you, you little brat?" Daimen teased lightly, trying to lift his mood with his playful manner. Back at home Daimen and Alexa were always found teasing eachother, mostly it being Daimen doing the teasing. It was just a sign of affection between the two siblings." Come sit up here with me Lexi." His voice was smooth, and calm as always. He wasn't thinking about what was bothering him at the moment, his head was filled with thoughts of his sister in the present time of today.

Lexi slowly uncurled herself from the fetal position she'd been in and stood up, following the edge of the piano around until her knees touched the bench. She carefully sat down next to her brother. She poked him, to figure out his exact whereabouts, then affectionately wrapped her arms around him. "Hi."

Daimen chuckled as she sat down carefully, and he was glad she didn't bump into the piano and hurt herself. He wrapped his arms around her small frame, giving her a much needed hug (On his part in the least) and kissed the top of her head in a loving big brother kind of way." Hey, how long have you been here?" He asked his younger sister, his voice light and filled with care.

Lexi smiled. She loved it when he used that voice. She hugged him tight, feeling that he needed it. "Oh, I don't know, maybe half an hour? The chapel bell was ringing when I sat down, and it hasn't rung since, so that would be my guess." She leaned her head against his shoulder, then suddenly sat up very straight, tilting her head to one side as she listened carefully. Yes, yes they were there. Another pair of feet, headed this way. Something about those footsteps she didn't like...
Lexi had always judged people by their voice and their footsteps. She could tell a lot about a person just based on those two things, and she had an uncanny ability to evaluate people.
...She could tell the person was headed this way, and she knew instantly that whoever it was, she didn't like her. She quickly put her hands on the front of the piano and slid off the bench onto the floor, crawling back into the darkest corner, where she wouldn't be seen. She knew that her brother knew her well enough not to draw attention to her in front of the stranger.
Cara paced down the hallway of her knew school, coming from the dance studio. Her feet were light on the linolium. As she passed the music room she stopped and, seeing a boy seated at the piano, stepped inside. My, he was cute! "Hello," she said, her voice light, accented with an odd mix of British and Russian. "Who are you?" she smiled sweetly, her big, brilliant blue eyes wide in curiosity. Standing there in her sweatshirt, leggings, and bare feet, with her dark hair pulled up in a bun on top of her head, she looked innocent, sweet, and yet oddly elegant at the same time.

Seeing his younger sister smile brought the hugest smile to his face, and he ruffled her hair lightly as she rested her head against his shoulder. It was a normal thing, and usually it made Alexa feel safe or so he thought." well, I hope your legs haven't cramped. Plus I hope there was no dust over there Lexi, I don't want you getting sick Sis." Daimen spoke before she sat up straight and listened. Immediately he knew someone had to be coming, Alexa only did this when she thought there was someone. Waiting for her to tell him if there was indeed a person coming, he was slightly surprised to see her slip off the piano bench and into a dark corner." Lexi...Be careful." He whispered as a girl walked in clad in a sweatshirt, leggings, and bare feet. Daimen quickly and secretly looked her up and down. Gosh she was pretty! Mentally slapping himself in his head for thinking such thoughts since he had a girlfriend, he listened to the girl speak. He was once again slightly surprised for the girls accent was a bit odd. He heard British...and was that Russian? " Hey, well I'm Daimen Sherelds. And you are?" He asked flashing a small smile, wondering what year she was. He thought her attire was rather cute, and he glanced as his own. A black sleevless under armor for a shirt, and not to lose jeans with plain black sneakers. Not bad, plus Jenna liked what he wore right? That's what mattered." By the way, are you a foreigner Miss.?" Foreigners are adorabley cute. DAIMEN! GET THOSE THOUGHTS OUT RIGHT NOW! > Once again, a mental slap.

Cara gave him a bright smile, her teeth very white against her only-slightly tanned skin. "Cara Svanhildr," she said sweetly. "I'm Russian, but please not to call me Miss...it makes me feel...outsider?" She stumbled through the English, looking up at him with a look of bashful hesitance on her face. She stood with most of her weight on one foot, her other pulled gently against her ankle in a shy, yet beautifully graceful stance.

Daimen chuckled, hiding his mouth behind a curled up hand. As he did so his black hair that was mixed with blue and orange streaks bounced slightly due to the motion, and his deep blue eyes twinkled with amusement." Oh I'm very sorry Cara, I won't call you Miss then. I suspect you just moved to America?" He questioned the cu-BAH NO! -the new girl. Yeah he needed Jenna with him to clear his mind, he hadn't seen her in a while now due to her being busy. Sighing at the thought softly, he moved his hands away from the piano and let the one by his mouth fall onto his lap.

"Da," Cara said with a smile and a little plie. "You play the piano, yes?" She asked, nodding toward the baby grande. "Is this what you wish...no, like? to do in your time?" She moved closer, naturally pointing her toes behind her as she glided across the floor, dragging her pink ballet slippers by the ribbons.

Daimen took notice of the pink ballet slippers in her hands, Ah, she must be a ballet dancer. He thought to himself as she voiced her question. Meeting her eyes he nodded, and smiled back." I do play the piano, but I don't play it too often. Usually when I'm alone or for my younger sister." He explained with very little detail, but thought it was efficent enough." You do Ballet? You move like a dancer, and by the looks of your Ballet slippers I can only assume that you are."

Cara beamed at him. "Ballet is...how you say it? My only thing...my life. But I want to have other things. I want to have friends. I have never been allowed friends before." Her blue-eyes turned doe-like with sadness, and she seemed to droop, like a flower that's been too long in the shade.

Daimen frowned lightly after she spoke, not daring to look at the corner his younger sister was in, for he didn't want her to get caught." Hey I'll be your friend, You'll make lots here Cara." He informed her or more like assured her. It was true though, people were willing to be your friends or your ememys, well mostly your friends. That's how he got so many." By the way, what year are you here Cara? Freshman? Sophmore? Junior? or Senior?" He asked out of curiousity, knowing curiousity killed the cat. 'Hopefully this girl isn't a freshman, that'd be like ra---JENNA JENNA JENNA JENNA JENNA JENNA!!!!!!!!! NOT CARA! J-E-N-N-A. Okay...phew.....Jenna.....Jenna....'

"Spasiba...thank you," she replied with a sweet smile and a graceful dip of her head. Her fair complexion nearly glowed, even in the harsh flourescent light. "I am new...what is year one called?" She lifted her eyes to meet his. Her brilliant blue orbs seemed a wide window straight to a tender soul.

" You're very welcome. Welcome to Four Oaks Academy." Daimen said with a broad smile as he watched her, she was very elegant yes she was. Her body slender, fit for a dancer. His features were filled with surprise as she said she was merely a ninth grader. Year one." Ah, you're a freshman. I must be nearly three years older than you, how surprising." He chuckled, wondering if his sister was alright.
