Although she is quite thin, she is actually extremely fit and strong, and has a lot of lean muscles that you cannot see unless you challenge her to something physical. Personality: Kate is a natural-born actress. She was raised to never let anyone see the true her, so she has learned to develop new personalities for herself, and has become very good at it. At FOA, everybody believes she is a shy, innocent, child-like girl, and because she looks so young, they automatically assume she's a first year. She is like a small kitten, you want to cuddle her, and treat her like a child, and she likes that for several reasons. She tells herself that it's just because it means that she's fooling everyone so well, but in truth, part of it is because she never got loved as a child, so being treated like a child makes her feel like she didn't lose her childhood. When she lived in Sicily, she was the ultimate bad-girl. She cursed, smoked occasionally, and carried a gun and a knife with her at all times, yet she is good enough to still pull off the child-like persona convincingly.
The other thing is that she is completely animal-obsessed. She has a little black kitten named Shadow, who lives in her dorm room with her (although nobody knows that), a green parakeet named Trill, and a Black-headed Sagui Dwarf Monkey from Brazil named Squee (hubpages.com/u/65528_f496.jpg) When she left Sicily, she was forced to leave her German Shepherd, Ross, behind, which pissed her off greatly.
History: Katana Anastasia Acardi was born in Palermo, Sicily to a pair of very poor restaraunt owners. Her parents were killed when she was only 6, and her grandfather took her in and raised her. Her father's father, Cesare Acardi was the resident Capo of the Mafia in Palermo. He raised her as a daughter of the Mafia, and by the age of 11 she could shoot a gun with an accuracy that most grown men never posess. When she killed a man at the age of 14, her grandfather realized that she was losing all normalcy in her childhood and an age far too young. Despite her vehement protests, he shipped her off to the United States, to go to school. She was very clever and smart, so she had no problem keeping up, even though at the time she spoke very little English. She learned English with an amazing speed, and could have skipped a grade easily, but her grandfather didn't want any extra attention drawn to her. She got into a fight in her school, and her grandfather pulled her out and sent her to FOA, where she began this year. She misses Sicily greatly, and is still angry at her grandfather for sending her here.
