(Yeah, I know I haven't asked you for a 6th character yet, River, and I know I haven't done any roleplaying with Andy yet (I blame Shikaru for not posting! XD), so it's fine if you wanna keep this character on hold until you see fit, I'm in no rush to get her out there.)
Name: Carly Stefani Germanotta (she uses her mum’s maiden name...Fun fact: I named her after my best friend and Lady GaGa!)
Nickname: Make up your own XD
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Year: 3rd
Sexual Orientation: Lesbian, but she’s rarely attracted to people. So, really it’s asexual 95% of the time.
Relationship Status: Single
Religious Beliefs: Pagan
Appearance/Wardrobe: Carly’s a plain Jane. She has a very neat and orderly look. Her hair’s a mess of bouncy, chocolate-brown curls that refuse to be straight, even under a straightener. She has a matching pair of eyes of the same colour. She wears black braces and has very clear skin for a teenager due to her obsessive cleanliness. She has lightly olive-tanned skin, and has a curvy, pear-shaped body. Carly usually wears her hair out, but on hot days she wears it up in a ponytail. Carly hates make up, and therefore never wears it. Carly wears rather plain, dull clothing. She doesn’t wear colours; her wardrobe is confined to blacks, whites, and grays. She wears tight clothing because it makes her look taller. She always has her black side-bag on her: inside are disposable gloves in sterilized packets, hand sanitizers, antiseptics, disinfectant hand wipes, soap, toothbrushes…you get the point.
Personality: Carly is a quiet, apathetic person; she spends most of her time with books instead of people, cook books in particular, because she loves cooking. When she isn’t devouring recipes from books and magazines and anywhere else, she’s in the kitchen whipping up said recipes and working out ways to improve them and so on. She’s best at making deserts and sweets. However, Carly can’t cook very well in a bad mood, as her food tends to suffer with her mood. And when she cooks, she’s a very clean, tidy chef, and is carefully wiping down surfaces with fresh, spotless towels and constantly washing her hands. This is because Carly is somewhat mysophobic (also referred to as germophobic or germaphobic, basically means an irrational fear of germs).
She will often use hand sanitizers, gloves and disinfectant hand wipes to clean things before touching them. Carly doesn’t mind doing tasks that will get her dirty, but afterwards she’ll shower or clean that area more often than the usual person would (eg. someone shakes her hand, she’ll wash it for a good ten minutes obsessively before applying hand sanitizer twice.) Doing really dirty things (like visiting a dump or army crawling in mud) usually cause her to mentally breakdown and cry. Carly is currently in denial about being a mysophobe, and refuses to see anybody about her problem.
When around people, Carly often comes across as cold and uninviting, and maybe even a loner, but she doesn’t mind having the occasional, close, loyal friend, as long as they don’t touch her too much. She definitely prefers to have a small, close band of friends than several friends who aren’t close. Carly doesn’t like school (she feels like it wastes her time and messes with her freedom), but does okay in most subjects. She’s a more artistic person more than academic or athletic, and sometimes will draw a few things when not cooking or reading. Woah, this is three paragraphs, I’m gonna stop typing now.
History: Giselle Germanotta and Jack Port were quick to marry after they left high school and were also quick to have their first child, who they named Carly Stefani after Giselle’s grandmother and Jack’s aunt. But it was only a matter of time before Giselle realized the man she loved in high school was not the same man a few years down the track…Jack began to abuse alcohol and quickly became an alcoholic. He would turn up home late at night from a bar to his starving wife and baby daughter and would physically and sexually abuse Giselle. A year later, Giselle finally had the guts to stand up to Jack, and one day, when he was at the bar, she packed up everything, put it in the car with Carly, and drove to California to stay with close friends, and finally attempt to chase a dream of opening an Italian restaurant, as Giselle loved to cook.
From there, Carly started school, made some friends, yada yada, normal life…by then, they had their own house and life was sweet. Once a week, the Germanotta’s had “Stone Soup” for dinner, which was the first thing Giselle taught Carly to cook, and she still has the book where the story came from. From then on, Carly started to take cooking as a hobby. But when Carly was 13, Giselle became a victim to breast cancer and died shortly after. Family friends all offered to take care of Carly, and soon after her mother’s funeral, Carly went to live with Giselle’s best friend, Sarah Dawson. Carly’s life was once again at peace until she switched schools (she moved to the middle school closest to Sarah’s home), where bullying problems developed…
Every day, the school bullies, Connie, Linus and Teisha would approach Carly’s lunch spot at school: a tree next to “the pit”. The pit was a large hole in the ground with dirt in it. If it was raining on that day, they would push her into the ditch, dunk her head in the mud and laugh. If it wasn’t raining, they’d just throw food scraps at her and call her names. This continued as all four of them moved into the same high school…
Luckily, Sarah found out about this and moved Carly straight to Four Oaks, the second closest school to her home, even though it was a long bus ride away. Carly’s somewhat over these years of bullying and abuse, but she had an odd quirk for very good hygiene since then…
Strengths/Talents/Skills:
- Keeps things clean, tidy and organised
- Cooking
- Visual Art
Weaknesses:
- Mysophobic
- Wastes a lot of time in the shower
- Comes across as a bitch most of the time
- Can’t cook in a bad mood
Other: She walks around smelling like peaches most of the time (her shampoo and soap and whatnot). Carly’s a spitting image of her mother. Owns a book that she writes all of her recipies in.
