Name: Ariphias Ixrel [Air-righ-fih-us Icks-rel]
Nickname: Ari or Ria both work
Gender: Male
Age: 15, birthday in September
Year: 3ed
Sexual Orientation: Homosexual
Relationship Status: Single
Religious Beliefs: Lacking
Appearance/Wardrobe:
Thick, smooth, long dark hair, about to his wrists when down, kept in a high ponytail, his bangs are usually neat and part center. Somewhere between black and brown, pitch black near the roots, slightly lighter near the ends. If the light hits properly, it'll take on a light golden brown color, although people rarely notice such trivial things. His eyes are a leaf green color encircled by a thick dark line on the outside and a thin forest green line near the pupils. They reflect light quite well, which usually gives off a teary appearance. He'll use this to his advantage if ever there's the need. His eyelashes are a moderate length and as dark as the roots of his hair. His eyebrows are extremely thin but the same in color. Eyelids are double layered, I think that's the term, I've only ever heard it in Chinese so I don't know the exact translation. His face is thin and girlish; his lips exceptionally red though relatively thin. His eyes are the proper distance from his nose, and his nose itself is well-rounded. Everything else about his being is more or less the usual. He's an oddly short for the dudes I play, around 5'3". Proportions are more or less normal, his legs maybe a little bit longer, but not notably. He's got a fairly thin figure that just screams nonathletic or even weak; his body has yet to become fully masculine with the V shape form and what not. His flesh is lightly colored but not an unhealthy pale, just fair, and it tears relatively easily. His fingers are long and handle things gracefully. He only has two scars, and they're symmetric on his back between his shoulder blades. He bears no shame for them, but they don't usually show. Put simply his figure is like that of a small girl. Fleshy, soft, delicate, and adorable.
He's usually caught in either a Gothic Lolita fashion or Sweet Lolita fashion. Mascara is a yes; other makeup is an absolute no-no. He usually switches between them with no specific pattern. So much frill and puffy skirts and umbrellas and what not, he dislikes hats so he'll usually use flowery/decorative headbands. Same goes for waist sashes (if ever), very very flowery and very very frilly. When it comes to long sleeves he'll usually either wear loose slit bell sleeves or just none at all. Gloves will either be silken or non-existent. Nets drive him crazy. He also has a few accessories of his own. All silver and the only gemstone he ever wears is sapphire. Both ears are pierced perfectly, and silver dangling earrings in combination with sapphire is a yes, he doesn't have a tendency to change them. Box chain necklace chain, 30 inches I'd say, the 'charm' is a strange design, all silver, five intertwined rings, center ring hold a small sapphire, again. It's actually a puzzle, a ring puzzle to be exact with a slightly different method. He rarely lets people touch it, though, and only one person thus far that he's actually let try at it has been able solve it, he can only vaguely recall the person though. And then a few silver bracelets studded with Sapphire here and there. That should be about it and yet I'm getting the feeling I'm forgetting something or another. I'll recall later, probably.
Personality:
He gives off the impression as unapproachable to those who actually know he's a boy, and on his Gothic Lolita days that goes for people who believe him a girl as well since he gives off a mysterious aura with it. When he's alone he'll usually just relax and space off completely. In general, he's warm, welcoming, and very kind, although slightly high strung. He's not outgoing, but he's not shy. He usually won't deny company, but he also won't seek it. If a stupid question is asked to him, he won't answer. If a question he can't answer is asked, he won't answer. In horrific situations, he'll rarely give off the impression of being afraid as long as people around him are cowering; but if people are not afraid, he'll be the one to cower if he is. In other words, he'll be who he needs to be for people in weakness as long as he likes them and knows their smile, but if he doesn't have to be strong, he won't be. Once past introductions, he's fairly soft spoken, though cheerful around people he comes to like. The only trouble is that he's not a very social person in the sense that he can't join a group conversation. Additionally, as long as he's involved in a conversation with another he'll rarely notice people around him or approaching him and then he tends to freak when they poke or say something to him. He despises depressing people though he won't say this to their face, when he gets involved with them, he'll just stay his usual cheerful self and hope it rubs off eventually.
It's hard to get him angry, although when people do he doesn't lash out at them, or say anything in response. Instead, what he will do is pull the sad and teary expression, which he does quite well as I mentioned earlier, for the sole purpose of either pulling the heartstrings of the one that pissed him off, or making the ones around the area sympathize. If he's extremely pissed he'll just escape the situation entirely with a quick and girlish slap and the classic walk away as if nothing happened.
He's relatively book smart and diligent in his classes with an exception of History. But outside of the classroom he'll just slack off completely. He takes things in quite easily, so it's not a problem for him to maintain his grades. Information leaves him as easily as it comes, though, so after he finishes his tests he'll let everything go, and he only ever remembers random trivia from all of these hours of class.
In general, though, he has a horrible, horrible memory for anything outside of trivia, and things only sit with him for a few months max. He fails his final exams easily, even multiple choice, so a bit on the unlucky side with guessing. He enjoys acting like a girl, throws topics he doesn't like with ease because people just assume he's random, and ultimately he likes to keep a slight distance. Right, and he just assumes that everybody knows he's a guy, which usually calls for a bit of chaos here and there.
He only ever cries when he's physically hurt, as there's nothing mental that'll drag him down under. Plus, he thinks it's not his place to cry out of pity for himself. He won't cry for other people, either, his tear ducts are somewhat dry, but yes, if it stings, then his eyes will water.
History:
This guy grew up in a more or less average household in Maine, a couple strict rules that he obeyed naturally without a need for them to be reinforced. He has an older over-protective sibling who was male, and his parents treated him fine. He rarely meets his brother as he was much much older than him and hence left the household not long after he was born, majoring in psychology. He saw him on yearly visits, but knowing his memory it isn't enough to make him anymore then a faded figure involved in his life. The vague things he remembers about his brother he loves deeply, though.
His parents had wanted a little girl and a little boy all their lives, so they were practically delusional and dressed him up as a girl until he was old enough to decide what he wanted to wear. The only reason they decided to let him decide--he's obedient, remember, they could have dressed him up his entire life-- was because his brother completely flipped at them forcing him into a dress day in and day out as if he were a rag doll. By the time he made the choice, he was entirely uncomfortable in anything other than a skirt, and he developed a passion for Gothic and Sweet Lolita fashions in the middle of elementary school when he first discovered them. His brother lectured his parents after the choice, but supported his decision no less, eventually he came to love the kid as a brother would love his little sister, which became...awkward, and so he stopped visiting entirely by Ariphias' 11th year, saying he was too busy.
His family moved for the first time to Oklahoma right before he started elementary, which devastated him; he had previously been under the impression that he was going to live forever with a young girl he'd spent the entirety of the first portion of his life with. They were small, so yeah, they do get to be under that impression. Of course his sibling was against it, but he got the news a bit late and hence had no say.
After he'd moved he lost interest entirely in the female race as he was being childishly loyal and nobody was the same as the friend he lost. On the contrary he came to appreciate the rest of the male race more as they were entirely reckless as well as his polar opposite. They mocked him, but he found it hilarious in his own way, and their dare-devil ways only interested him further. Already, at a young age, he had become one known to watch from a swing set over play along and get dirty, and so he already began to develop an invisible wall between him and the rest of society. As a child he had always been terrified by storms, so he became more and more high strung as many storms and tornadoes passed. After many upon many phone lectures done by the elder regarding fears and development and what not, his mother and father, also had become relatively worried for him; and they had already a fear that their child would bare a grudge for them cross dressing him as a baby and then moving him away from his childhood friendships into a place that could literally be a living hell for him at times. In all reality he bared a grudge for neither, as every experience to him was a good one. By the time he developed his passion for Lolita, he had come to adore who he had become. He hence practically bowed in thanks to his parents by the time they moved to California for his middle school years, because he was free of the thunder and the storms, the only things pulling him down.
By the time the family reached California, Ariphias had only vague memories of the East Coast and how he had ended up in the tornado alley, although it was still in his nature to be obedient. The face of his original love became blurred and so he just ignored it entirely. He already knew favor for those of his own gender, and yet he stopped ignoring the opposite. He lived happily in California where the rain was soft and gentle. But his parents were still a bit guilt ridden especially by his obedience, as they were under the impression that his happiness was just an act, and hence set the reluctant bird free of its cage with a destination that was Four Oaks.
Strengths/Talents/Skills:
He forgives everything easily
He can usually keep a cool head
He has nothing pulling him down, so he's free
He's diligent in class
He has a head filled with trivia
People are usually under the impression he's a girl until he says otherwise, and he is extremely girlish.
He doesn't get lonely
He doesn't tend to say no to a request within his capacity
He ignores people easily
He makes people feel ignored easily (again, like Sia, not really good, but it's a talent)
And I'm missing something here, probably, but I forgot what it was
Weaknesses:
He's not the greatest when it comes to loving
He tends to forget things as well as people after enough time passes
He's far from artistic and absolutely tone deaf
There's always a distance with him, although it's hard to notice
He's fairly high strung
He's extremely lazy outside of the classroom.
He has an inability to pay attention to more than one person
He's especially tense around girls as his loyalty turned to an overall dislike.
He forgets names extremely easily, as if they slide strait through him.
He's terrified of storms, especially thunder, absolutely and completely terrified.
Since he's generally a soft spoken and more or less obedient kid, it's rare for people to raise their voices at him, and with the fear of thunder he already has he's a bit afraid of loud noises in general.
He's not exactly what most would consider fit, either.
And then I'm missing something from here too, but again, forgetfulness.
Other: His motions are either slow and lethargic to the point that nobody notices that he's moving until he's gone, or else he'll skip or frolic. He rarely walks and he never runs.
RP example: No, leave me alone. I'll get down to this later, only if I feel like it, though.
