Name: Joanne Morgan
Nickname: “Jo”, “Miss Morgan”, “Miss”, “Miss M”.
Gender: Female
Age: Somewhere in the late twenties/early thirties region…Uh…29?
Class: Drama
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Relationship Status: Single and divorced
Religious Beliefs: Committed Christian, but not a preacher.
Appearance/Wardrobe: Jo isn’t the tallest of people, she’s only a few centimetres taller than most 4th years at Four Oaks. She has long, bronze-blonde hair that’s around elbow height, which she usually has clipped into a loose bun, or up in a bandana. Jo has large, mossy green eyes. She looks very natural. Jo has very tanned skin because she likes to do gardening in her spare time. Her skin is covered in freckles, including her face. She does have a few, small aging wrinkles on her face. The most noticeable things on Joanne’s body are the burn scars on her arms.
Jo likes to wear green the most, as it’s her favourite colour. She makes her own clothes. Joanne often wears long dresses and skirts, and hardly ever chooses pants. There’s always a warm, inviting smile on her face. She wears a lot of jewelry, including her wedding ring, even though she is divorced. Jo likes to go around barefoot.
Personality: Joanne’s the mum everyone wished they had. She acts as a motherly figure towards her students, and she loves every one of them like they were her own kids. But she does become scary if things get bad. Jo is a very optimistic, cheerful, relaxed and friendly woman. She does get very emotional at times. When Joanne’s sad or has a problem, she keeps quiet, bottles it up and pretends nothing is wrong. However, she has no problems with keeping other people’s problems a secret. Her hobbies include gardening, cooking, reading and sewing.
Jo’s also a mute, and has been for around five years. She mainly communicates through writing and Auslan (Australian sign language).
History: Joanne grew up in Australia, where she rode kangaroos to school and wrestled crocs until she was 12. I’m only kidding; no one around here does that. Anyway, her childhood was very normal: her mother was a florist and his father was a barber. At the age of 14, her parents died in a bushfire. Jo escaped with burns on her arms and back. She was hospitalized for several weeks and then sent to live with her uncle, aunt and cousins in the states. Her uncle was a theatre director, and ever since she met him, Jo knew she wanted a job as a theatrical actress. At 16, she already was staring in several, local shows. She married a man named Richard Morgan at 24, and they moved back to Australia. At 25, Joanne fell extremely ill and once again was hospitalized. She lost her voice and became infertile. This was an extremely big loss for Jo, as she at the time so desperately wanted a child of her own. And the loss of her voice made it harder for her to be employed as an actor. Joanne decided to move to America once again, taking Richard with her. She went to college and eventually got a teaching diploma, and then became a teacher at Four Oaks. After a year of teaching there, Richard and Joanne got divorced, as their marriage couldn't survive a long distance.
Strengths/Talents/Skills:

Weaknesses:
