Name: Hamish Cooper
Nickname: Ginger, Ranga, Ron Weasley, Fire Crotch, Gingernut, Bluey, Fire Cracker, Carrot Top, “OH SHIT, PUT IT OUT!”…Pretty much any name that makes fun of his red hair.
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Year: 2nd
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Relationship Status: Single
Religious Beliefs: Atheist
Appearance/Wardrobe: Hamish, overall, looks geeky. There’s no way around it. He has shaggy red hair and hazel eyes. He’s pale, like a typical red head. He towers over everyone at 187cm, and he’s practically a coat hanger, in size, and in the way his baggy clothes hang on him. He wears a pair of smart, business like glasses with black frames. Hamish is never seen without his digital camera, which always hangs around his neck.
Hamish prefers to wear the brighter colours over black and white. Like I said before, his clothes are baggy and several sizes too big. Hamish also has an odd sense of style – he often wears suspenders, ties, vests, and top hats, along with the usual jeans and a shirt.
Personality: Hamish is the kid every parent wishes for. He tries to be mature and polite as possible, and studies like his teacher’s going to pull up a surprise exam. His education comes first, followed by his photography, and then his social life. An “A” student. As I have mentioned, Hamish is extremely interested in photography and looks towards being a photographer in the future.
Hamish is good at being social; he’s not afraid to approach someone he’s never met and have a chat, however, he’s not very good with leadership. The reason why he’s a bad leader is because Hamish can talk to people one on one, but he’s very bad in a massive group of over three people. He gets nervous, and when he’s nervous, he stutters, tenses up, fiddles, and gets the hiccups. Best to avoid making him nervous.
He can be slightly nosy as he asks a lot of questions. He isn’t very stubborn - in fact, he’s the complete opposite – Hamish will change his mind with only a little persuasion.
History: Hamish was born in Paris. Yes, Paris. But he’s not French – his parents had moved to Paris at the time. Afterwards, they moved to England. Hamish had an awfully peaceful childhood; up until he was 6 and his mother, Taliah Cooper left his dad for another man, as she was having an affair. So, from then on Mark Cooper was a single dad.
Now, being 6, Hamish didn’t understand why his mommy had to leave. However, Mark told him that Taliah had found someone who’d make her happier. Hamish never questioned this until he was old enough to understand the situation. He instead set out to make his father as happy as possible, hence why Hamish puts his education first a lot.
7 years later, Mark remarried a woman named Hayley, who was an artist. She was the one who gave Hamish his first camera, which Hamish still keeps in a shoebox under his bed. From there, Hamish had a growing interest in photography, which has now grown into a career path for him. Hamish now attends Four Oaks Academy to give his dad and step mother some space.
Strengths/Talents/Skills:
- Excels at all school subjects
- Good side of the teachers, I would think.
- Almost an expert at photography
- Not afraid to approach people.
Weaknesses:
- Not so good leadership skills
- Easy to manipulate
- Shy and extremely nervous in large groups
- Not very attractive, to be honest
Other: I’m willing to say his carpet most likely matches the curtains.
RP example:
His nerves were clearly eating away at something in his gut. He felt like his intestines were being twisted in a clumsy knot. He could feel every muscle in his body seize up and freeze on the spot, except his fingers, which fiddled aimlessly with the ends of the cuffs on his shirt, which was several sizes too big. He kept his hazel eyes fixed on his palm cards, trying to remember every exact word that had been scrawled on them in messy writing. Sweat was cascading down his neck, and he had a feeling it had nothing to do with the humid weather outside.
“Oi, Fire Crotch, you okay?” Nancy’s voice was heard from somewhere in the room, but he was too anxious to turn around to find out. He tried to reply to her, but even his tounge was tied.
His shoulders tensed up even more as he felt Nancy’s hands resting on them from behind.
“Hamish, relax. It’s only a speech – you just gotta empty your mind.”
He tried his best to loosen up his muscles, but they only froze up again.
“Y-y-y-yeah. You’re r-right. Just-just ha-have to c-clear the mind,” Hamish stammered, blushing at his nickname. “And c-can you n-not c-c-call me tha-“
But then the first hiccup escaped his throat. Nancy buried her face into her left palm, frustrated. She sighed.
“I’ll go ask Mr. Jordan if you can do your’s at lunch.”
