Briar closed the door behind it, crawling onto her bed and burying her face in the pillow, fighting off the tears that threatened.

Scarlet ran into Briars room She tried to open the door but it was locked. Anger rose up into her body. Not again please not again she begged in her head. She knocked but no movemnt in the door came. She shut her eyes and kept knocking till her knuckles where raw from the hard wood. She kept kocking. The pain felt good. Is distracted her from the daggers in her heart.

"Scarlet, I'm so sorry," Briar called, pain shredding through her chest at the thought of losing someone else.

"You could let me in" Called Scarlet. She looked at her hand and there was some blood from how hard she had been knocking. She looked down and bit her lip.

Scarlet noticed that you pshed the door, You did pull. She blushed and walkd in. She sat by Briar omn the bed and looked at the tears on her face. She wipped them off. "Briar." Scarlet cooed. "I love you."

"I love you too, that's the problem," Briar said, shaking her head, turning away, avoiding Scarlet's eyes. "I can't do this, I love you too much."

Her eyes widened and she could feel the pain in her chest. "No, Please don't do this." She walked to her bed cupping her face. "Please, I'm not going to hurt you. Please don't do this." She said, tears of her own coming ito her eyes

"Remember that one time, you got so drunk you started running through the woods naked?"
Petra said, laughing. Noelle burst out in a fit of giggles as they both swished their shopping bags as they made their way to the dorm.
"YES! and you dived into the freezing lake- naked. And then we had to explain to our parents what we were doing in the forest, naked, in the middle of the night."
Noelle was holding onto her stomach, she was laughing so hard. Petra snorted a laugh as they reached to their dorm room.
"I think thats the time I also made out with that Senior.. what was his name?"
Petra turned the handle and opened the door.
"I think is was Jon--"
Noelle stopped when she saw Scarlet and Briar on the bed, and they looked like they were crying.
"Who died?"
Petra asked, bluntly, stepping into the room and throwing her shopping bags on the bed.

Scarlet looked stright at Petra. A blush went up her face. "Uhh" She stamered and rubbed her eyes.

Noelle gave Petra a stare and Petra shrugged her shoulders, walking into the en-suite bathroom they shared. She shut the door and left Noelle standing there, awkwardly.

Noelle watched Scarlet leave, her face flushed and when she closed the door, Noelle turned to look at Briar.
"I'm SOOOO sorry!"
Noelle said, a bit embarrassed.

Noelle bit her bottom lip, she didn't want to intrude on Briar's personal life, but she still wanted to be there for her. She was about to ask if Briar wanted to talk when Petra stepped out of the bathroom, wearing one of the new dresses she bought. It was a strapless mini "Kitty" dress by Marc Jacobs and it was navy, matching Petra's eyes. Petra's pale blond hair was back, so you could see her shoulders and she looked absolutely stunning.
"What do you think, Noe?"
She asked Noelle, smiling. Noelle nodded, smiling. Petra grinned and went to go sit on the foot of Briar's bed.
"So what's with you and the other girl?"
Petra asked, looking at Briar who was facing the wall.

Briar, for reasons she didn't understand, felt herself relax. Petra was straightforward and honest. She could be trusted.
(("For reasons she didn't understand" = "Because River said 'you must be betrayed'" ;P))
"I-I can't get involved in another relationship. It always ends badly, and I can't go through that again..." Briar looked at Petra with deep, pain-filled eyes. "I don't know what to do."
