Ella knew it was late and she also knew she should be getting ready to sleep but she was restless. Lucy her black quarter horse mare was waiting patiently at the mounting block watching her owner adjust the jumps. Ella lifted the poles on the jumps to three feet. "Ok girl you ready" she walked over and checked the laces on her knee high black riding boots. Ella looked good in her tan riding jods and black blouse her long black hair tied back in a ponytail. Ella put her riding helmet on and mounted Lucy "ok lets do this." Ella did a circle to build speed soon they where at an even canter. Ella approached the first jump and smiled she leaned on Lucys neck to relieve the pressure on her back and they flew over. Ella got through the course with ease and decided to run it again.

Shafia really didn't have much to do. After lunch she just went around trying to get her mind off of her dad. She was passing by the riding ring when she heard something. She walked in and saw a girl on a horse. She looked amazing as she ran the course.Just like a professional.

Ella was out of breath and slowed Lucy down to a slow walk and let the reins go so Lucy could relax. Ella saw another girl and smiled "oh hey sorry did you want to use the ring we should be done soon" she smiled. Ella tried to calm her heart down the adrenalin flowed through her like an electric shock.

"oh ..me ..ooh no. i was just walking and heard you here." Shafia said with a smile. hopefully she wasn't intrupting anything. The girl seemed nice but she was all out of breathe.

"Oh ok yea i couldn't sit still so i thought i would come work off some energy" she smirked slightly. "Oh this is Lucy by the way and i'm Ella whats your name im having a hard time meeting friends here " Ella realized she was rambling 'oh dear im losing it' she thought as she shook her head.

"I'm Shafia. I just started school." She smiled slightly after she realized what she just had said about starting school. *What if she finds me weird and doesn't want to be my friend cause I've never been to a real school until now. Oh god.* Shafia thought to herself with a slightly worried look on her face.

Vires walked up to the gate of the ring on the other side of Ella and Lucy, There she was again with her horse somehow he knew he would find her here. Though it was not his intention to find her he had heard the noise from some distance away and had made the assumption that it was her. To his astonish meant she was doing jumps, once again nothing that he could do, well on a horse that is. He watched as she spoke to a young girl across the way, ‘she must be busy I should probably come back,’ he thought to himself, but he wished to see her do more jumps so he simply sat down at waited, fiddling with the violin he was carrying.

Ella smiled "it is nice to meet you Shafia" she smiled. Ella trooted lucy over to her "just started school were you home school before coming here?" Ella bit her lip "sorry i don't mean to pry this is my first year i transferred from an all girls school it is a big change" she rolled her eyes "guys are interesting" she laughed. Ella heard something and turned around "hey vires ready for that jumping lesson" she laughed a little and shook her head "come join us this is Shafia" she smiled warmly.

Shafia laughed a little at Ella's last comment. "They are aren't they but i wouldn't really know about that and yea i was home schooled until now." Shafia added with a sweet smile. She couldn't tell what it was but she felt comfortable talking to Ella.

Vires stood up a brushed the dirt from his pants, ‘well that was unexpected,’ he thought to himself. “So I’m interesting am I?”He said jokingly to Ella, “And it is a pleasure to meet you Shafia,” he said bowing when he reached them. He looked at Ella’s face and could see she was a little out of breath and this struck him as funny for some strange reason. He smiled at her for a moment before turning his head back to Ella, “ m not so sure after seeing that, I’m positive I couldn’t do that, I still need to learn how to ride correctly.”

Ella laughed "well Shafia I can see the benefits but i think my family would have driven me insane" Ella took a deep breath when she noticed talk about her family in past tense. Ella looked at Vires "yes you are very interesting" she smiled at him "I will show when ever you are ready look it is easy" Ella gathered her reins and put her feet in her stirrubs. Ella put on some leg pressure and circled ending in a canter she headed towards the first jump and flew over it then a sharp corner that looked far to dangerous to the second line then they switched directons making Lucy switch leads to end the course.

Shafia was surprised by the voice which came from the back. She laughed a little when bowed at her but not in a mocking way. "Its nice to meet you as well." She said with a Smile and gave a little curtsy. "what your name?" she said looking at him.

“My name is Vires Monstrum, and it is a pleasure,” Vires watched as Ella moved through the jumps almost effortlessly, “Amazing as to be expected from you,” he said with a large smile on his face. “So you said you where home school,” he turned his head to look at Shafia, “So was I,” he said after a moment. He turned his head back to Ella.

Ella was finishing her circle when Lucy slipped and went down Ella screamed falling with her horse barely missing being crushed by the large body of the mare. Ella scooted back cringing in pain "ouch oh no Lucy" she went to look at her horse but Lucy was already up and shaking herself off. Ella sighed and tried to get up but her thigh stung so bad she fell back to the floor "oh no" she examined her riding pants which had a large hole and under the hole was a large cut on her thigh Ella bit her lip and turned away.

Vires watched as the horse fell to the ground and in a flash he was over the gate in front of him. He moved to her quickly to aid her in anyway. “Ella are you ok?!” he said in a very worried tone, as he rushed to her side. He knelt down next to her, looking at the wound, he had suffered similar cuts before trying to clear razor wire fences. He removed his jacket and wrapped it around her cut, “ok this is going to sting a little,” he said as he pulled the jacket tight over the wound. “We need to get you to the nurse,” he said in a rather calming voice.
