Shannon laughed a joyful laugh. "I should hope not!" But inside her head she could hear her father's voice as she lay on the stretcher... Hang in there, sweetie! Just hold on! You'll be okay! God, please don't let me lose her... Shannon shook her head, trying to ignore the voice. 'I'll stop if it hurts,' she silently promised herself, simultaneously wondering if she would have the strength to keep that promise.
